I have no experience with gardening but have been wanting to get into it. Thought this might be a good way to tell if I have the patience for it and give me a winter project. It's all pretty easy to use for the most part and you can get it all set up quickly. I haven't used the timer as I know that if I do, I'll forget the sprouts exist, so I'm trying to be more hands on with that. All the parts feel sturdy.

Think it will be nice. Really like the pot design with flex bottoms. However the box had been opened and I am missing one of the green vent discs. Are parts available?

Automatic timer does not work. I have to manually turn it on everyday.

This is a really really good way to get started indoors before the season. Enough to get a good part started and easy to remove when you repot with the silicone bases. Especially if you're using grow tents, these will save you room in your grow area and able to move them into the tent when they're ready for the brighter light. This way i don't have to lower my light settings and risk a deficiency or even accidentally flipping it to flower. The included lights are good enough to germinate and sustain it until around 18-21 days. I can use completely blank soil without nutrients as it's only using its cotyledons up until this point. They have enough time to get a little rootbound, which i like, and they take off better once I put them in some slightly hot soil that started cooking the day I popped the seeds. I go straight from these into 3-5 gallon pots but might be a little more easy to manage your water if you go into an intermediate pot if you're really trying to maximize your vegetative stage. Comes with a few accessories that were no big deal but the kit itself is a really good product. Overall a value for a product with a lot of utility for serious or casual growers.
