Use the mesh side for sheets of A-OK's, mini-blocks, or Gro-Blocks. The tray fits in a standard 10x20 flat and keeps the Grodan elevated from the bottom of the flat. Fits inside a standard tray/dome, very solid high quality material. Rockwood cubes fit perfectly and helped me achieve 100% rooting in propagation!Love that it provides space under the cubes for excess drainage. Dome fits over no problem.

The major complaint with it is that I use anything but a 1.5 Inch seed started (commercial) for the seeds I wanted to use the small pebbles to drop the seeds onto but the holes in the bottom are too large and the pebbles fall through unless they are large. If using rock wool cubes the roots should come out easily. So I give it between 3 and 4 stars overall.

Hey if you want to spend $40.00 for a piece of plastic that's great.. However I am thinking you could do better.After a 're-read' of the products description you will notice that there is not one mention of the material that it is made of.

The description of this item alludes to the idea that it is made from clay terracotta, with the ability to be washed as a hard plastic. A more apt description would be a plastic item in terracotta color which is dishwasher safe. The cost of this item does not reflect the materials used. You are merely paying for the name stamped on the side.

Best product that I have used and I love the macro cubes. They fit well, easy access to the center of the cube which keeps the gels from bunching up because you do not have to slide it into a hole...simply open the slot and place the clone. Then the tray holds it closed and suspends it above runoff liquids so the roots can hang and grow rather than bunch up in a cup.Stephen
