I've ordered 2 sets now and we've tried all the other nipples and cups. It keeps the water clean and no mess. We've been able to plug them into existing holes without any issues.I don't know why feed stores don't carry this style. We've just had to raise the waterers a little higher for the drop down access verses the traditional flush nipples that have the medical cross design. You can unscrew the 90 degree elbow to use it at the bottom of a bucket.It also comes with a drill bit to drill new holes if you didn't have existing hole drilled.

Used these to make 5 gallon water jugs for my rabbit colonies. Easy to set up, have not leaked, they have frozen and thawed and still work.

My chicks took to these immediately where they refused the horizontal ones. With these you get the best of both worlds... a vertical nipple that is easy for them to manipulate and a horizontal bar so you can have a sitting container and not confines to hanging.
