My wife is a bird watcher. She uses an app on her phone to listen to the birds. The app tells her what birds it is hearing. It helps her identify the birds she is seeing. The mic on her phone isn't very good so I bought her this mic that plugs right into her phone. It really makes a difference. My wife loves the mic.

The Boya works with action cams ( tested with DJI OA3 and 4) where OA3 shows a mic icon at top right and OA4 shows a sound bar from left to right. Due to bend of the Boya, an adapter is required, else the mic either sticks out the side , or if bent, faces to the back.

It is an older product but it is omni directional and just works well

I am very satisfied with this microphone. It works perfectly fine with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Just plug it into the USB port and you're ready to go. The sound quality in the videos improved considerably. The microphone is able to pick up voices and sounds at a greater distance and with greater clarity than the integrated microphone of my phone.

I was looking for a mic to elevate the sound when using the iPhone voice recording app. This actually sounds worse.
