I was really surprised after spending $140 that I still had to spend another $2.99 for the pro app.... really? but whatever... the app is good, the hardware fits my phone with the skin removed (yes even with the black spacer thing removed)

It works well and nicely, I wish it had a case or any protective storage since it is kinda plasticity and fragile.

Where to start. I use this professionally as an audio journalist, I have used Zoom equipment before and so had high expectations. In fact I was confident enough to go ahead with the purchase, despite warnings online from other users. The biggest problem is that this is to big to be reliably connected to a phone through such a small connection. It's better rivals are either smaller, putting less pressure on the join, or have separate clips to hold it in place - both big improvements. It doesn't work well if there is a case, though the detachable lining which in theory makes it usable with a case is a good idea. Finally it is very inflexible in the way it can be used with other programmes and formats of recording. I need a good quality recording which can easily be sent on to others and used, so small file size and common formats are a must. This is frustrating and the Zoom app is not as good as others around. So, all in all, a disappointing product for the cost. It's worth paying a little more for something better.

I use this to record my vocals for my music. It’s amazing & has really improved the quality of my production, however at first I thought it was broken because it would screech, turns out you have to put it on flight mode when you’re recording but I only found this out through another review as it stated nowhere on the instructions. Great mic if you know this

Microphone offers only marginal sound improvement, not worth the price charged.The free app is totally useless.This app doesn’t work with my iPhone 6 and iQ6 microphone. The changes in amplitude cannot be seen on their graphic representation. I would return the microphone to amazon but it does barely work with the native iPhone recorder , albeit with only a small improvement in sound quality.I wanted this to work and invested a few hours in sorting it out to no avail. Even for free this app costs too much!

I use this to record interviews and I used a free audio editing software to edit it and it's been an easy and pleasant experience so far! The sound is clear and it can pick up a conversation really well. The layout of the app could be clearer, but it makes downloading the recorded files onto my computer easy.

Good sound quality, disappointed that it's made of plastic, and you can really hear your hand moving on the device when you hold it, so it's better if you have a stand or something for the device when recording (or record loud sounds).The app is decent, overall good value. I'm looking forward to using it in the field.

Great product. The sound quality is amazing and it fits tight in the lightning port.A few things to consider,1) The headphones jack is at a really loud volume and it can't be changed.2) There is latency with most of the apps and you will notice it only if you want to do multitrack recording. I was able to reduce the latency almost to cero using cubasis and adjusting the recording options! But I can't make a decent multitrack recording on garage band.3) for the price it's an aweeeesome product and the recording quality is outstanding.
