This is one of the strongest and sturdiest snowblower replacement handles I have seen. The ones on my Toro 824oe and Ariens 11528 le are no where near this solid. Cord is also thick and strong.

Be careful when buying as the rope length maybe short for your machine.Worked for mine but not an exact fit.Still good.

The original starter handle on my snowblower finally broke, snapping the plastic where the rope is attached. I tried to fix it with zip ties to no avail. My snowblower is an Ariens but I found this Briggs & Stratton handle to be much stronger and expect it to last a lot longer.

This winter we have had an exceptionally large amount of snow and my old Briggs & Stratton powered machine has seen duty almost every second day. I inherited this old machine almost thirty years ago from my father and it still runs and operates great. Although I use the electric start on initial start-up, I use the pull start for all start ups in between. I think because of the extreme cold conditions we have had this winter, the pull start handle snapped. I ordered this new rope and handle, installed it, now I am back in business.

I bought this for my 14 y/o son. He mows yards in the neighborhood and complained that the lawnmower would jerk the pull cord out of his hands. He eventually got to were he didn't want to start it at all. This was the solution to the problem. Installs as any pull start cords does. This allows you to have a better grip on the pull start that the short stubby ones we're all used to that only touches 2-3 fingers. With a better grip it, this doesn't yank out of his hands any longer.

Got this for my craftsman snow blower. Since I never changed a pull cord on anything, I checked youtube, saw how simple it was and did it myself with ease! This fit just fine and works just fine! That said, if I had to do it again, I would have just used the old handle and would have just tied some of my parachute cord that I have to it and used that for no cost, same thing...live and learn.
