This camera only offers only cloud services where the device needs total wifi access to your network, cannot be configured without location , has no local way of accessing and connects directly to a cloud service. Saves only events to SD, cannot trigger a Local record or save to SD. Useless without cloudI was expecting to connect this with proper security by RTSP or some other local method. There is NONE.This is just capturing everything with your location and sending it out to a service that requires a subscription if you want to do something remotely significant.You can't even save a capture or video without giving FULL access to your photos (it does not work with limited even if it has write access). Not even worth hassle of returning this is going straight to trash canThe seller company has provided a resolution , and so appreciate the outreach of the company and there customer service efforts and good policy.

The camera is a sleek looking pivotal type of security cam. It comes with a solar panel for power, but this, along with other features, also has some limited functionality or uses. For example, why this is a nice to have, it's not the most reliable or practical. For those in areas with limited sunshine, or if placed in an area in the shadows or recessed, this wouldn't work. Another example is wifi - why this is great and necessary, it's limited to 2.4gz and not 5gz. So again, YMMV. And finally, it requires yet another app to work. And it does require a lot of information and permissions even if you decide against cloud storage or their other features, and just stick with using a memory card.
