What's there to say: the genuine cartridges out-perform the "compatibles" every time. After buying a compatible cartridge that leaked all over the interior compartment of my laser printer. I learned my lesson. These are expensive, but worth the peace of mind that they will work and not damage my printer. Shipments are always FAST; always next day.

Placed it in a Canon MF642C printer and it recognized it right away as Genuine, print outs look fine after 2 weeks of use...now I need to top of the Y/M/C cartridges. Now that my kids are gone away to school these cartridge's should last a long time.

While I wish the cost was a lot lower, I've stopped buying the random 3rd party brands for my Canon MF644CDw printer and just go with the genuine part. Why? Consistency in quality. You MIGHT get a good cartridge from one of the cheaper brands, but often I've just found strong reminders of "you get what you pay for".It really comes down to this: if you don't care about the quality of the print, you're fine with the cheap brands. If you don't like the inconsistent color distribution, fades, or general sense of it could look better, then go for the Canon brand. Unfortunately for my wallet, it really is night-and-day.
