I hooked it up to my deep cycle battery, it charged it up quite quick , through out the charge it gave reading of the process, when it was charged the screen showed full and it stopped charging which is what you want, no worry about over charging.

It's compact and light, easy to tuck into a corner of the trunk for use this coming Winter. The car isn't used much, and has no trouble holding a charge most of the year, but the cold weather causes the battery to drain over a period of 3-4 weeks. I'm looking forward to using this to keep it topped up and avoid having to call for a boost.

Purchased it because the write up suggested it could be used as a trickle charger. Upon receiving it the instructions clearly advise not to leave it plugged in after the initial charge as it may damage the battery.
