Ancho Poblano | 40-50 Seeds

Ancho Poblano

A native to Mexico, Ancho Poblano has been cultivated for 9000 years. This heart shaped heirloom pepper is actually well known under 2 different names. "Poblano" is the fresh version and is excellent stuffed or roasted. "Ancho" is the dried version, often used as chili powder. Ancho / Poblano Pepper is a mild to medium chili pepper that is commonly used in Mexican cuisine, and other spicy dishes. It is the most commonly used variety for chile rellenos and mole. Can be challenging to germinate; 60-70% germination rate is considered excellent for this variety. Packet includes 40-50 seeds.

Bought these seeds for my 2023 garden. Started indoors, every seed germinated and the pepper plants were really nice and very fruitful. Stored the unused seeds in labelled FOME storage boxes purchased on Amazon (SH04027ESB002) and kept them in the refrigerator from March 2023 on, and started new seedlings two weeks ago. Once again all seeds planted have germinated. Very happy with Caribou!

I could not find theses pepper seeds locally anywhere. Prompt dispatch was good but S&H doubled the price. 40 seeds in the packet.Full review to follow.
