Never grew kale before and started 6 plants as I heard about kale chips and thought I would give them a try. Ya 6 may have been over kill. They plants are huge and all six seeds I tried grew. Very pleased.

Planted many this year as kale and Collard Greens are my favourite vegetables. The vast majority of seeds i planted germinated (id say about 90% germination with about 10% failing to take off).I did however get a couple that grew yellow and weak since the beggining till i ended up cutting those and replacing them with new ones and i didnt do anything different than with the others so the odd one grew defective like you would expect with any batch of seedsOverall most germinated and grew well which is the most you can really expect from seeds as theres always the odd ones that fail. My advice, if you want to grow 10 kale plants... plant maybe 13 in cups first... those extra 3 should off set if a few either fail to germinate or if any grow badly

Don't know about taste, but I followed the directions and they sprouted in 3 days. Quite a lot, too. Just one pack. And they bonus is they are organic. Good for both humans and bees. :)

Grows well, but too few seeds! bare minimum in each pack.
