I love music, and I like playing around with multiple instruments. I'm no good on piano, but this fits the bill. I don't have to worry about it being beside a baseboard heater. A real piano would take up too much room, and the extreme temperature and humidity changes in my home would be hard on a piano. This unit sounds excellent to me. It doesn't have the fake sound of my much older and cheaper keyboard. It resonates, and it seems like there's a lot of technology at work, to try and convince you that it's trying to be a real piano. They keys are also very nice, and weighted.Assembly was slow. Be careful, as the instructions are hard to read, even for a technical person. Also have someone help you out, because it's awkward to assemble due to its weight.

I trained as a classical pianist at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and later at University of Toronto, so I play at a professional level (or I did, a career change meant I hadn't played in a while.) My main concern was to have a digital piano that was responsive to touch and had weighted keys.To make a long story short, I have been thrilled with the Casio from day one. I'm sure I'm not using half of the features, but fyi, this model gives you all that you'd expect from the digital-online era, such as ability to record, a built-in metronome and various mixtures of piano tone from bright to mellow, and emulation of various concert halls... I just love the way it feels. The keys aren't plasticky, they feel almost like old fashioned ivory keys. Because music is in my blood, bones and soul, this purchase has been my best on Amazon...One thing: it was tricky to put together, although I'm a klutz at such tasks to begin with. You might want to have a practical putting-things-together type friend to help you with assembly. Thank you, Casio!

It finally arrived 106 days after ordering, and was worth the wait, although frustrating. The box had cuts and gouged corners, (puro later) but there is an inner cardboard liner as tough as plywood so the piano was immaculate. It really is a 2 or 3 person assembly, but if you can build Ikea furniture you will not have any problems. Do yourself a favour and download the manual from the Casio website. The included assembly instructions in the box are nowhere as detailed as the online edition. There are so many possible tweaks and adjustments that it will take a while to experiment, but right out of the box it has a deep balanced tonality, with good sustain if desired using the pedals. Having three pedals adds to the real acoustic piano feel. The keys are pseudo-ivory (textured) and have good action and tactile feedback. One minor quibble which is purely aesthetic, the anti-tip front braces are bare metal and detract from the overall appearance of the piano. Since the anti-tip feet are optional if your piano will not be against a wall a snap-on plastic cover would have been a welcome addition.

Piano sounds fantastic and comes with enough features that moves it a little beyond just an electric piano. Assembly was easy, however you may need a second person to help towards the end as the product is indeed heavy. It plays absolutely wonderfully, it sounds wonderful, and comes with a handful of piano fonts that lets you vary it up. It's sturdy and does not feel cheap. Just an all around great electric piano.

I'll write a proper review later, but considering there is a blatantly wrong answer on the questions section and some confusion online as to how to make the piano work with your tablet and headphones, here are some easy answers.YES, it does work with Android! In order to get your phone/tablet to work with the piano you need a USB C to USB B adapter if your phone is a later model with USB C. You cannot make it work with a USB plug on the piano, you can only use it to transfer your recorded songs. A USB C to USB B cable is on amazon for ten bucks.Your headphones will work fine but they will most likely need an adapter. The available plug in for the headphones is a 6.35mm, so you will need a 6.35mm to 3.5mm Audio Jack Adapter. There is more than one Chordana app in the Google Play Store, you want 'Chordana Play for Piano' not 'Chordana Play'. It'll allow you to access different tones for the piano a lot easier this way. I also believe that the 'teach' section is only available for Apple, since the Apple version of this app advertises it.Hope that helps!

Sounds, looks and feels really good to my beginner's ears, eyes and fingers. The pedals are slightly to the smaller side, but that haven't been a big issue so far. Though I have to admit I got this px-870 for a special price on Black Friday. The regular price 1400 CAD would have been out of my budget.Assembling instructions were a bit confusing, but I downloaded PDF version of the manual from the Casio website where all the details are mentioned clearly.Putting it all together by myself alone took about two hours without hurry, though next time I could possibly do it in 20-30 mins. The components are somewhat heavy (the piano weighs about 20 kg and the stand likewise), so it would have been much easier if I had an extra pair of hands. But it was doable for one person too. Also I put a thin rubber yoga mat under the console to avoid contact with wooden floor and make it more stable. Seems working well.
