An 80 watt light on a Ariens snowblower works well and throws off plenty of light even when it is pitch black at night in Minnesota. Wonderful 😁

Bought this for my Murray snowblower with a Tecumseh 8HP engine. Plugged it in and started the blower but after 10 minutes the light burned out. It replaced a halogen bulb which was supposed to be compatible but isn't.

Looks really good quality, was really bright as well. But I installed it in my snowblower and it fried in less than a minute. If you want to use a led on your snowblower (small engines) they output ac power. The led dosent like ac it wants DC. So you will need to add a bridge rectifier to the power wires to the light. Thus being said some newer machines do have this rectifier on them especially if you have heated hand grips already. Best to check the machine first to see if it's got the rectifier.

This bulb is supposed be as bright as a 50 watt halogen equivalent. Picture 1 above is the old 27 watt I was replacing and picture 2 is the “50 watt” LED and yes, I’d did run it through a full wave rectifier.

I found this bulb after shopping around for a bulb that works on my Ariens snowblower. It works perfect at high rpm and idle and is plenty bright for a snowblower.

My ATV is a Sportsman 1000 Hunters Edition. One of the bulbs went dull so I bought these as a replacement. They are shorter than the existing bulbs but still fit just fine. I thought the light portion might be out of the focal point of the reflector but the light is fine and bright.
