This is my preferred reed so I was happy to see them available for Eb clarinet.

Reeds were odorless and tasteless. Held up to many hours of playing. Were exactly as expected for the strength of the reeds, and played as expected for an experienced clarinet player.

I'm an amature clarinet player who only occasionally plays, not a professionsal, so please keep that in mind when reading this review. I liked the fact that these reeds are certified organic, which is something I never considered before. Seeing as a reed spends a lot of time in the player's mouth, it makes sense to choose organic if you're able. D'Addario is a well-known, established company that also makes Rico reeds. These reeds are made in the USA, however, materials are "domestic and foreign." PLease take note thatthese are Eb clarinet reeds, NOT Bb reeds, a fact that escaped my attention when ordering. If you look at the photos you will see that a standard Rico Royal 3.5 Bb clarinet reed is significantly bigger than these. However, after soaking the reed and putting it on the mouthpeice of my Bb clarinet, it seemed to be fine, if a little short. I was able to play straight off without breaking the reed in. This was surprising to me, since my embouchre is not that great, and I seldom play anymore. Next, I decided to compare pitches produced by this reed to pitches with the Bb reed. I found no difference in pitch, so I would say that you could use these reeds in a picnh on a Bb clarinet, although technically they are designed for use on an Eb clarinet and are slightly small. Overall, I would say these are nice, playable reeds, and the price is reasonable, just pay attention, and buy the correct version for the instrument you play. Can't say much about tone, but that's my fault and not the reed!

My middle schoolers use these for their clarinets for band at school. They work as intended and last as expected.I’m not sure I noticed any difference with the organic type, but the price difference is so small that I am glad to order the organic version when possible.
