Digirig Mobile is a all-in-one open source digital modes interface for amateur radio.
- enjoy FT8, JS8Call, SSTV, PSK31, RTTY, CW decoders and other popular digital modes.
- Interface works with WSJT-X, Fldigi, Winlink, Yoniq, SSTV and other ham radio software including CAT apps like omnirig, flrig etc.
- combines audio codec, serial CAT interface and PTT switch
- supports full featured CAT interface: PTT, bands, tuning etc. (not just VOX based PTT)
- uses a single USB connection to computer minimizing the cables mess
- serial computer aided transceiver (CAT) port can be configured for logic levels, RS-232, CI-V or TX-500 (learn more at digirig website)
- works with all major OS flavors: Windows, MacOS and Linux
- permanently available independently from CAT port an open-collector PTT switch controlled by RTS signal of the COM port to interface HTs and mobile radios
- axillary connection points to CM108 codec - for simple Allstar homebrew node builds
- uses widely supported CP2102 serial interface (driver available at Silicon Labs website) and CM108 audio codec (generic audio device - no driver necessary)
- small rugged aluminum enclosure ideal for mobile operations
- interfaces the transceiver using widely available 3.5mm jacks (TRRS) for simple homebrew cable builds
- growing collection of pre-made cables including popular Icom, Yaesu, Elecraft, Baofeng, Xiegu transceivers
- isolation can be easily added using inexpensive USB isolator dongle
This listing does not include cables. USB cable is a standard Micro USB-C cord which must support both power/charging and data. You will have to make or purchase* the rig side cords for your specific radio
*refer to the digirig website for connection pinout and pre-made cable options.
Notes regarding the interface configuration:
- PTT option is always available independently from CAT and it works with any radio
- CAT configuration is done with solder jumpers and can not be changed operationally
- Digirig's default configuration for serial CAT is 3.3V logic levels. If the interface is ordered together with the transceiver cables and there is no ambiguity the configuration will be changed to match the cables. Please use order notes field or follow up with the email if you have a specific preference.

This is an incredibly neat solution to getting 'older' radios connected to the PC. It provides both Rig Control and Audio interfaces. By default it's configured for 3.3v logic level for the rig control, but can be re-wired for RS232 levels. Supports most radios I can think of. You will need to use a soldering iron to reconfigure some of the options but the website is very supportive and videos exist of how to do this, and besides, if you're buying this you should know how to use a soldering iron. I made my own cables (For Icom IC-7000) and it all just worked as it was supposed to. Use it mostly with WSJT-X. Uses CP210 drivers which all the modern radios use by default anyway so no compatibility issues.Tim G6GEI

Wow, this thing is small! Like... Really small! But it unlocks the world of digital modes and seamlessly connected my ft817 to my surface pro. Right off the bat 14000km Jt8 contact on nothing more then a wire and this little magic box. Way better built then my previous Rig blaster PnP and much easier to configure worked right out of the box with the cables specifically made for the rig. 10/10 perfect for portable QRP stations.

Was not the most recent version of the hardware. Many test comparing digirg to other USB-serial and USB-CODEC demonstrated that it was not working.

Nach ersten Tests hab ich den Kauf nicht bereut, einzig der sogenannte Morsetrainer ist ein Witz, er piept, mehr nicht.Antennenanpassung klappt problemlos, das Gerät ist klein, Handlich und macht was es soll.

I needed a USB isolater. They say you need one to stop ground loops between your radio and the computer. However my unit had a strong hum with the audio cable only plugged into the sound card. This when captured has a complex waveform. I think the soundcard picks up USB power noise or common mode noise on the USB twisted data pairs coming only from the computer. Maybe it's my PC but I believe they should build an isolator into the unit itself. Maybe call it the deluxe version? Also they connect the serial port RTS to the PTT via the soundcard. Which is a great idea! However challenging when you first get one and you don't know why it's hitting transmit. Flrig config for the G90 defaults to RTS on. Which means even with the cat cable unplugged it hits transmit the instant flrig starts up. Not digirigs fault but something to look out for
