This is a good toy set for a baby to make some noise with. If your baby likes that, this will be a fun toy to play with. That said, I would not call this an educational musical toy set. The pieces are mostly intended to be shaken and are more rattle like than actual musical instruments. If you are looking for musical instruments or something more educational, this is not it. Overall, it's a fun toy but not the best value (if you are hoping for educational music instruments).

These MIFS Educational Musical Instrument Set is quite nice. It is made of wood. Nicely made, no splinters or unfinished edges. Some of it is painted as suits the design. The instruments make sounds but the sounds are not too loud at all. This is a pleasant surprise. Very hands on and easy for small tots to engage with. These are the kind of playthings that encourage free play and creativity. Such toys brings joy and satisfaction to children as they engage with them spontaneously and express themselves. This is a great set of instruments, and the bonus is it does not need batteries and is not too loud. I can not guarantee the volume it might inspire in your children, but I think it will inspire smiles.

When I was a kid, my parents had some bulky musical toys that we used for years. I am surprised that my parents allowed such noisy play, but we loved them. So, when I saw the MIFS Educational Musical Instrument Set for sale, I had to get them for my grandchildren. I thought it would be a perfect gift from me to them with their parents (my kids) in mind :0)! My son groaned when he saw what they were, but my grandkids immediately took them and started to play. We have music playing in as a backdrop for pretty much everything we do, so this is a natural way for us to encourage their musical involvement. These musical toys are a great size and shape for even babies to hold onto. Our grandson is only a year old and he holds them, shakes them and chews them. They easily make a tolerable noise when moved and the nice, bright colors make them enjoyable for the children to grab onto. There are no sharp edges on them either, so they seem to be very safe for the kids to play with.I recommend these for babies and toddlers to enjoy … and for grandparents to give as gifts to them.

This is a really nice set. I am partial to wooden toys. This set makes a variety of musics noises using different techniques. The wood has no deformaties in it and the paint is vibrant and intact. The pieces are perfectly sized for small hands to explore and hold.I am really pleased with this set.

These are exactly what you want for an infant to play with, nice wooden toys with a variety of sensory applications. They are well made and seem safe to use, there is a good variety in the sound and textures of each instrument to help stimulate growing minds. While they aren't actual Montessori toys (there are only a specific number of toys that were designed by Maria Montessori that can actually be considered proper Montessori toys), they do adhere the the use of natural materials that Maria Montessori believed in.Overall its a nice set of baby toys.

This wooden play set from Mifs looks like various musical instruments. The quality is pretty good and the finish is nice. I think these should be durable. None of these "instruments" sounds musical at all, but they are nevertheless fun for a toddler. The current price of $30 CAD is reasonable.

This is a pretty basic set of sensory toys for infants. They do make some noise, which is great...because the noise is made in response to a movement and not just a button you press. The wood quality seems ok, I am unsure about the paint and what the ingredients are, so that raises a concern. I think they are relatively durable and have no sharp edges which is a bonus. They make a nice little set to put in a basket on a Montessori play shelf. I do think they are a little overpriced at $30 so I would personally wait for a sale or coupons before purchasing.
