This thing works great. Graphs the power consumption. I put on ct on one circuit and one on another. Exactly what I was after. Easy to install.

This device does not work with home assistant properly. The Tuya plugin only gives you overall kWh reading. The LocalTuya plugin only updates when the device is probbed by the Android app when the android app is open.Also does not work properly with single phase 220vac circuits

i bought this to monitor my (detached from the house) office in order to figure out whether it would be worth replacing my baseboard heaters with a mini split. I hooked it up to the heating circuit and was able to tell that I only use about $30/month worth of electricity during the winter to heat my office which is not enough to justify spending a grand on a mini split. this can be monitored with an app that connects to it wirelessly and has neat historical trends/graphs. I certainly found this very useful

Double or triple the price of other sources.Unit works very well, make sure you're connected to the same line as the one you need an amperage reading from, make sure the current transformer (CT) is installed in the right direction.

For the most part, this product is easy to install and use. Unfortunately, the manual fails to describe how to connect for monitoring a single 240v device (2 hots (120v each) and no neutral). So, here is my tip for the day: connect the load and neutral lines from the monitor to each hot leg in the panel (red to one hot leg and black to the other hot leg). Doesn't matter which. This will allow your monitor to detect 240v. Only need to use a single clamp around a single leg. This also doesn't matter which. The assumption here is that each leg will carry the exact same amperage. I cringed when I flipped on the breaker(s), but it worked just fine and my garage hasn't burned down yet.UPDATE: I ordered in the product in Oct of 2023. It is now February of 2025. So, less than 2 years later and unfortunately the product has failed. I had to uninstall and reinstall the product and also needed to reset the wifi. Strangely, the button continually flashes green and will not reset regardless of how long I hold the button. It's supposed to flash red 3 times after holding for 5 seconds. It does nothing. So, at this point, I think the product has failed and must change my rating to 1 star. I believe this product should last longer than 1.5 years!
