This charger does exactly as it says so if you need to charge a compatible battery, it will work for you. Only thing I should remind is that trickle chargers tend to take a long time. I forgot about this at first, and was discouraged as to why the battery wasn't charged after checking on it after an hour or two. Getting the 12v battery back up to usable charge took around 8-10 hours I believe.

So this does charge my mini lead acid battery but the indicator light is just green all the time. It says it's supposed to be red while charging and that's definitely not the case. It also didn't auto-stop after my battery reached full charge. It does charge the battery but doesn't have the autonomy I was looking for. I could have made this with a spare 12V power adapter I have lying around but I wanted to be able to set it and forget it and I just can't do that.
