Junk! The clamping mechanism broke on the first day. After the 5th or 6th cut (1-¾ inch tube) the motor was emitting smoke and sparks from the motor side (not the blade side). I wondered n why an extra set of motors brushes was included with the saw.

The Amazon listing says it will cut through 2" material.But then when you get the saw - and the official documentation says 2" material with 1/8" wall thickness.I needed to cut through 2" solid mild steel - and it worked great.I'm going to buy the Aluminum blade too now that I know it will work.Super great saw, and I like the fact that it is smaller. I didn't want the standard 14 inch chop saw.

Esta máquina Evolution Evosaw185, cumple bien con lo que ofrece, ya que corta el acero suave y otros materiales para lo que fué hecha; aunque claro, no se le puede pedir que corte lo mismo que otros modelos más grandes, como la Evolution S380CPS.Toda la maquinaria eléctrica en general es de respeto, ya que ¡cómo ayuda!; desde hace tiempo, he tenido cuatro marcas favoritas de herramientas que suelo comprar y no me han defraudo hasta ahora, solo ha habido pequeños contratiempos, pero eso es todo y por eso estoy agradecido y ahora que encontré esta marca Evolution, sin duda ha entrado entre mis favoritas ya que lo que invierto en esta marca, me lo reditúa con ganancias.Quién pueda adquirir esta herramienta y la necesite, que la compre ya que le dará más rendimiento del esperado por el precio que paga con el paso del tiempo, los que usan estas herramientas saben más que yo.Gracias.

El primer corte fue una maravilla, se fue rapidisimo, pero el séptimo corte de angulo de 1/8" * 1 1/2", ya se calento mucho y generaba muchas chispas y con mucho trabajo y tiempo lo pudo cortar.En mi opinión la cortadora es buena, lo malo es el disco, intentare ponerle un disco de abrasivo de la medida. La voy a devolver.

My 14" abrasive chop saw was showing its age, and this much smaller chop saw is a great product, especially when you get one on sale. I make the coolest carbon fiber metal collectors available. These saws throw a lot of metal debris and chips, my metal rods easily catch most of the steel chips which means less metal splinters when not wearing gloves. Two of my carbon rods carriers can deadlift this 118lb hybrid anvil. Each rod has sixteen long, very powerful N50 magnets.(Depicted is a black and a blue carbon fiber collector rod, I only use the black one on the right hand side. The blue glossy rod is one I made for a retired SWAT buddy of mine for his home shop.

I received the saw. It looks solid and well made. No plastic at all. All metal. Even hand wheel is metal even if it looks on picture like plastic. Vise is solid cast iron. Scale is good. But on bigger model scale is better. Saw protection is all metal and opens only as needed. It is important for metal saw.The size looks perfect for small shop or home. It is only 10 kg. So can be moved around easily.The problem I got right away. I cannot unscrew arbor bolt. It is deadly stay like it is welded inside :)The key provided for it is a bit smaller then the bolt. Did not check yet, it looks like instead of putting propper metric key they put closest imperial. It is common horible mistake these days. Anyway, I tried to unscrew it. No luck. I use all possible ways. The bolt is made of, cannot call it steal. It is too soft. Special tool for broken bolts just do not work. It takes off metal like a clay. But bolt stays deadly. Washers behind the bolt loose, but bolt ....Do not say that my hands are curved and I do not know how to do it.

After 20 cuts the blade no longer cuts. Used another blade the same result. Finally the engine burned after 1 month of use following the manufacturer's instructions.

Great tool right out of the Box. Well packaged and Looked good. Had to install supplies blade. No big deal. Just happy with Purchase as My previous saw was stolen.
