Added a headphone jack to the output and this thing is the perfect headphone amp with ALOT of headroom, for when I am designing my DSP's.

I’m not easily impressed, but I am really impressed with the sound quality of this amplifier. I have it hooked up to two 12” full range and two 5” speakers. It will fill a large room with plenty of volume. Very little distortion at full volume. This is not the type of amplifier that you need if you’re looking for a lot of thump, but it will push your midrange and tweeters. Bass and treble adjustments do have a good range. It does have a separate output for a bass sub, but not anything to brag about. Might come in handy if you had a powered sub to hook up to it. Would also work well with a 12 volt cigarette adapter.

Very good for a tiny amp.Sub know adjusts sub volume not crossover frequency.Sub output does not increase or decrease with main volume, you have to adjust that separately.Which once you get used to it is good!As you can fine tune Sub volume for each song rather quicklyPaired this with cheap speakers and a powered subwoofer for my PC.Very happy

Javais des speakers que javais besoin de brancher a mon reproducteur de vynils mais il ne donnait pas la puissance nécessaire pour que ça marchais. Ce pour ça que jia acheté cette ampli. Ce parfait ça marche bien et la meilleure chose ce quon peux controler le bass et les trebles ppur avoir un meilleur son.

It's not overly loud, which I was willing to deal with. What I'm not willing to deal with is the fact that it stopped working less than a month after first plugging it in. I use it to provide better audio from my TV. All of a sudden the audio stopped. After fiddling with it, the audio would be intermittent. Will be trying to return it.

I use this amp to power some high-mid and treble speakers, as well as a sub woofer on my home sound system. It is it's job decently. Overall, the amp lacks a little clarity, the sub cross over is not super clean, and it is generally under powered; I would not use this a primary amp. It is only part of a much bigger system, and it works just fine for what I need.

The amp is light snd small and quite inexpensive. It puts out a good amount power loud enough to need to shout over if you were trying to speak to someone next to you within 10 ft of the speakers.What is actually totally mind bogglingly horrible about it is that the subwoofer output is not affected by the main volume knob! That is to say, when you find the nice balance between sub and stereo speakers, then you turn the main volume down, the sub will remain at the volume. Whhhhhyyyyyyyy?????

This small amplifier sounds great. I've only had this amp about a week and so far so good. I'm running out of my iMac into the 1/8 AUX input jack on the front of this amp and using heavy gauge speaker cable into a pair of speakers, each w/ a 6.5 inch midrange and 3 inch tweeter, housed in 45 year old heavy, solid wood cabinets. The bass and treble controls on this ST-838 are really quite responsive, although I am also using the EQ in my iTunes player to dial things in a little more, especially when listening to music. I have a background as a sound engineer and musician and I am fairly hard to please and so far I'm pretty happy, particularly considering the price. And now ~ the test of time. Stay tuned.Update: Well, it's been a year and a half and this little amplifier is still rock solid and I use it every day for at least several hours and sometimes longer. I can't recommend this little guy enough. If you're on a budget and need a good amp, this just might be the ticket.

Pues la verdad acabo d adquirir apenas este mini amplificador no es un gran sonido pero me sirvió para unas buenas bocinas y un subwoofer Sony q tenía guardadas, lo q tienes q hacer con éste aparato es estar ecualizando la música tu mismo no hay necesidad d subir todo el volumen del subwoofer por q hay canciones q tienen mucho bajo, y pues la verdad al subir el volumen se distorsiona mucho el sonido, se calentó un poco al funcionamiento del mismo espero y me duré el aparato.
