I have a open pit and this looks nice plus safety so ambers don't fly in air.

The frame of this item is quite sturdy and the mesh of average thickness, so as not to block your view of the fire and to allow oxygen to pass through. I modified mine by adding retainer clips at the base to attach to the fire pan so it doesn’t ‘walk’ every time I open and close it. I love mine and would highly recommend getting one, wherever you live.

Fits pretty much flush to the actual firepit, and is really heavy quality steel. Mesh for spark arrestor is also very small so little sparks dont pass through from the wood popping.

Easy assembly but a heavier Guage would be helpful. These are one season screens usually burned though after one summer.

Once the items were ready to connect, it was obvious that they were not of the same size. There is a two inch difference in the two assembled sides. Item was returned. It's also annoying and difficult to connect the screws with the tool provided. Not happy with it at all.
