I have always called fur hats "block heaters". They are warm and comfortable and good headgear when it is cold out. When it gets really cold the sides can come down and warm up your ears. The hat covers the top of your ears even with the sides up. I love this RCMP-style winter hat. It works for them and it will work for me.

It arrived really well-packaged and in excellent condition. Fits well (if not, could easily be stretched a little larger with a hat stretcher). Fur is thick, luxurious and extremely soft. This was a gift and the recipient is really ecstatic with this hat.
