Review: Sainsmart Genmitsu 3030 CNCI purchased the Sainsmart Genmitsu 3030 CNC in April 2024 and really enjoy using it. I had no previous experience with CNC machines as my career was in Human Resources. I was just looking for something new to learn in retirement for a hobby. This is a versatile and powerful machine that has impressed me with its capabilities. Some other information that I have read suggest that the 3030 was designed to be used for metal work but I have only used it to do carvings on woods such as Basswood, Oak, Walnut, Cherry, and Mahoganey.Three features that I really like about the 3030 are:1) The Precision and Accuracy of the machine. It uses dual linear guides and ball screws within the X, Y, and Z axes which I understand is better than some other designs.2) The 3030 CNC was really easy for me to set up and begin using right out of the box. {And it was packaged very well.) I was able to run my first project within a few hours of receiving it.The 3030 has proven to be quite durable with minimum maintenance required during the nine months I have used it. {This includes many hours of use...sometimes many hours daily.)There are a couple of areas that may cause concern for some users depending on the materials being used and location of the machine.1) Noise Level: The machine can be quite noisy during operation, which might be a concern for those working in shared or quiet environments. (I don't know that this can be improved on because after all it is a router.)2) Limit Switch Issues: Although this has not been a problem for me some users have indicated occasional issues with the limit switches, which can affect the machine's performance. (This only seems to be those that machine metal which have particles falling into the limit switches...I personally have not had these issues with wood.)One other thing I would like to mention is the excellent customer service that Sainsmart has provided me with the 3030 along with my Genmitsu L8 20 Watt laser, (especially Jamie, the agent I have communicated with in the past.) They have been responsive, helpful, and gone above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction on any questions I have submitted by email.I would recommend the Sainsmart Genmitsu 3030 CNC both beginners and experienced users.

This CNC machine does exactly what it says it will. Accurate, powerful and sturdy. Comes with a solid selection of bits and if you order the cheap extra bits accessory you'll have more than enough for every situation. The clamps and dust shoe (sold separately) are also great and useful options to have.I had the spindle collide with a clamp when it was operating and did some damage to the spindle, and when I reached out to customer support to ask if I could buy the replacement part, they sent it to me for free since my machine was less than 1yr old! The item shipped quickly from China -> Canada in less than a week, and their support staff was very kind and helpful.Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that the manual contained some photos/directions for assembly that weren't for this exact model sold on Amazon. I suspect the manual is generic for this series of CNC and isn't necessarily updated for each minor variant of the unit. This caused a bit of confusion when assembling as there were cables pictured in different places than they were actually found on the machine. Even with this, I was able to assemble it in less than an hour so it's a minor complaint.4.5/5

This is my first CNC machine and I must say the learning curve is not too complicated.It is more expensive than the simpler 3018 but it is by far at another level.The machine is really well made, easy to setup, sturdy and accurate. The footprint is excellent to do a great amount of projects and familiarize yourself with the domain.The capacity to work offline, without a computer, using the attached controller is really useful.There are only two elements that caused me a bit of trouble.1. The base plate does not have t-rail for clamps and there is no option yet to retrofit it.2. The software is not really suitable if you want a bit of flexibility or want to do something more advanced. I endup going with paid version of Carbide3D Pro.I genuinely enjoy creating projects.

die kleinere Schwester hat mit wachsender Aufgaben ihre Grenzen erreicht und deshalb haben wir dieses Fräsenmodell angeschafft. Sehr solide, kein Spiel, kein Wackeln und deshalb auch kein Hakeln mehr. Hätten wir gleich das größere Modell gehabt wäre mancher Fehlversuch und Frust ausgeblieben, d.h. die Kleine darf jetzt vermutlich das tun wofür sie gemacht ist und Alu und fräsen mit mehr Geschwindigkeit und Tiefe läuft jetzt auf dieser Maschine.

work super well, the design is robust and beautifully elegant on a bench.. i’m connected via USB with an extension (3 meters) using ferrites on each side of this cable and use the vacuum "Dewalt" (AC/Battery, model DCV581H) on AC because the AC-DC converter inside don’t do (or a lot less) electromagnetic interferences (which can cause a crazy command that ruin the work).. usually working at 6000 to 8000 rpm speed and it’s not noisy (when my vacuum is off).. also, my Dewalt vacuum have a hose/tube easy to fit with the dust shoe accessory with a hose extension (Dyson Gen 5)..truly happy of it!!
