I have an older model craftsman lathe. I bought a Bauer chuck at harbor freight and this fits perfectly.

Bought one that was twice the cost and it caused a massive amount of wobble. Replaced it with this one and now it works perfectly.

The claim is this fits a 3/4 16tpi male shaft for a wood lathe. It does NOT!! It’s a waste of time and waste of money. DO NOT BUY!!! The 1 by 8tpi fit precisely. But the 3/4 by 16tpi is not even close.

When I received my dad's old Craftsman Lathe I realized the Chuck was a different size from my midsized lathe. And I couldn't use the Nova Chuck that I had for the midsized lathe on Dad's Craftsman. I was about to spend hundreds of dollars on a new Chuck when I came across this item. It fits great and only cost pennies on the dollar. Great item.

Both threads are clean and fit them both the lathe and chuck. Seem to be true. at least true enough for utility wood turning.

Well made adapter. I have a 1940's Atlas wood lathe with a 3/4-16 spindle. I also have a modern midi size lathe with a 1" spindle. Now I can use the chuck on both machines and interchange the accessories from the modern machine to the antique. The adapter runs true with pretty good concentricity. Spins on finger tight and releases easily when finished. Good value and nice quality.
