It was great until it stopped working. No longer heats the water.

None of the legs actually fit into the receptors so I cannot use them. However, I was able to hang the tank close enough to a power source so I chose to keep the waterer and mount it that way. Our night temps have been getting down into the mid-20's so livestock water freezes quickly. This heated waterer worked very well when I tested it. The water in the little drinking cups and the tank itself was warm! It is very easy to refill without unplugging, unhanging, spills, or hassles. The little floats in the cups work nicely to keep the cups full.

Do not buy this. It leaks. No matter what you do. Plumbers tape dosent help. I literally have bruises on my fingers from wrenching the wingnuts.

This actually works really well! I still check my girl's water daily just to make sure, but so far, so good! The true test will be when the temps really drop this year! I will update!

I appreciate that this came with two extra drink dishes and two sets of leg extensions (long and short versions) but right away I was annoyed at how poorly the extensions fit into built in receptacles. I had to use a LOT of force to snap each of them into position. I weigh 185 lbs and it felt like I was probably applying about 100+ to insert each leg. I did get each leg installed and tightened each of the water fittings, prior to filling with water. No leaks!Once placed in the chicken pen, my mid-sized chicks were instantly drawn to it and began drinking immediately. The tag on the bottom of the unit says that it draws 75W, which should be enough to keep things from freezing in the winter (here in MI), on all but the coldest days. TBD on if it will be enough to keep the actual cups from freezing. It would be nice this had a thermal switch that only turned on when the temperature was below 32F but I suppose it will be easy enough to automate with a smart switch.Right now, it's mid summer and I'm using this as a vacation waterer due to the large capacity. I only have four young chickens but worry that they will tip their smaller waterers over while we're away. I don't have to worry about this, it is quite stable, even with the tall legs.**Update** - I'm bumping my review to 5 stars. I've been using this as my primary water source for my chickens for over 6 months now and have had no leaks or other issues. The main functional requirements are met: this thing keeps water from freezing and it doesn't leak. It's been getting down to
