We thought this would fit our tandem kayak and it definitely DID NOT. Would work for smaller vessels but didn’t come close to working for a larger tandem kayak.

Unlike similar items I've installed previously, these are inferior in two related respects: (1) the mounting holes are too close to each other, both near the top, instead of one high and one low, and (2) the forming process leaves a bend in the vertical section that's supposed to be flat against the wall. I was able to make it work, marginally, by installing a stack of washers between the upper mounting hole and the wall, but because of the resulting stand-off the structure is significantly more wobbly than it would be if the metal had been formed correctly, so the hook would mount up flat against the wall.
