You can spend a lot of money on proprietary hangers. I got this generic set and they work great. They are solid and very flexible. The only named brand hangers that I purchased were for a shelf and two for my bikes. I bought two set of these for everything else and could not be happier.

I did a major garage overhaul and added several 4 x 8 sections of Proslat within the project Of course you all know how expensive the proslat hooks are and so set off looking for something that will work and not spend Proslat hook money. The problem is that everyone in the reviews of all of these different amazon slat wall hooks either say the hooks work or don't work for their slat wall but almost always neglect to say which brand as all brands have proprietary hook sizing. I bought two of the sets of hooks to start out and so far have a lot of lighter stuff hung on them since none of these have the locking mechanism to keep the really heavy stuff on like the Proslat hooks do. So I'd say these are great hooks for 75% of your stuff if you have Proslat and then go with the proslat hooks with the other 25%. Definitely glad I bought them.

These fit my Garage King slat wall. These do not lock but neither do all of theirs. They seem to be sturdy. This option cost much less.

I liked the variety of sizes. Starting out with a slat board project, you're not completely sure what you will need. The variety covered all my needs. Ordered three times! Very well worth it ad I loved the rubber covering on the hangers. Thanks!
