The round tubing is strong but when installing on a vertical board -- used 2 stainless steel screws that I had previous purchased over screws furnish. Two screws to mount each vertical raise -- do not like the round when doing this as hanger tends to rotate when installing and afterwards -- really needs screw pattern to be diamond pattern rather than 1 screw above another screw. Purchased other hangers with a flat plate for connecting to surface... much better and easier to install. Probably would have sent back for latter, but needed home for extension ladders.

Bought these to store extension ladders on the walls to free up floor space. Super easy to install, and very, very sturdy.
