I'm still at the stage where I think of paper like socks. I notice the moment something's wrong with it, but if I don't notice a thing, it must be good. This seems like a nice, generic paper for sketching with dry media like pencil, charcoal, pencil crayon, oil pastels... and probably loads more I haven't tried. It doesn't like watercolour and doesn't do well with ink from a fountain pen or dip pen (feathers - spread out to make a thicker line). On the whole, I'm very happy learning to sketch with this paper. It's a good size and doesn't let me down.

I love the thick paper, it's high quality and worth the price. Will definitely buy again

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas, I took it out of the box to wrap tonight and turned it over and seen what looks like grease marks from fingers or something. I took it directly from the box to the paper so it’s not from our home. Paper seems like good quality though and the price point is perfect

I've finished this sketchbook, so here's a more detailed review:Price: They fluctuate the price for this item often, from $2.90 to $11. I picked up a couple when they were under $3, great value. I would recommend them at anything under $6.Quality: Decent sketchbook. Takes light alcohol marker washes without bleeding to the next sheet, takes brush pens and ink, etc. The paper seemed too thin for me to attempt any wetter medium, but it might take very small amounts of undiluted paint (no watercolour). It is a tad flimsy, so you need to place the pad on a hard surface (or a light wooden art board) when drawing. Texture is okay and as you would expect. Sturdy enough to travel with without fear. For beginners, kids, or for use for rough works, I highly recommend this sketchbook (when the price is right). Having a cheap sketchbook can be very freeing, which is valuable in its own right.
