came well packaged, not rusted, nice clean shine to it. fits the anticipated nut. only downside is that it’s a little overpriced for the length it is, but if you don’t have any tools to cut through these, these are a good size.

Verified the stainless steel quality using a magnet (304 stainless steel is weak on magnetism). The threads are decent, but they are a little bit sharp. They could be deburred.

I ordered the HiPicco 1/4"-20 fully threaded 8" length rod, made from 304 stainless steel, and I'm quite impressed with its quality. It's a nicely threaded stainless rod. No sharp edges, nuts thread down easily. It comes in a simple padded plastic envelope. I like having the option to cut what I need to length for a few special projects!
