Love the flexibility and sturdiness of the shapers. Fit perfectly in all boot sizes

I purchased this boot shaper to hold up the upper portion of my husband's old cowboy boots, in order to use them as a "decorative object" in our "cowboy room". It was a snap to cut the forms into the desired length I needed and they popped into the shaft of the boot with ease and do a great job of keeping the boots in the "fully upright" position. Since you get two pairs in a package, I will be using the other pair to keep in my winter boots this year, which I think will help circulate air into the boot when they get damp. A great product at a great price! FIVE STARS!

Worked very well in my tall boots, standing up straight nice and neat. If you wanted to hang your boots wouldn’t work well. It’s just a piece of bent plastic that’s simple, ingenious and inexpensive.

Love them but they don't hang like the pictures show. Maybe my boots are to heavy because they just slip out when I try to hang them up. Either way they do hold them up and make my closet look much more organized!

I bought these two weeks ago for my wife's four pairs of boots which were always falling over and cluttering up the entrance-way to our house (btw - I'm a touch OCD, so living with me is not always easy). The product arrives flat, and the first time bending them to fit inside the boot was a little treacherous since I wasn't sure that they wouldn't snap, but there were no issues. Initially I put them in with the boot zipped up, and found that it was quite difficult to bend enough to fit all the way down inside the heel to the sole - you have to make sure it goes this far down otherwise it doesn't give the boot the necessary stiffness to stay upright. Then I found that it is more effective to unzip the boot, bend and load the shaper, and then zip the boot up over the bent piece.Depending on the height of the boot, the shaper can be permanently modified by breaking off the excess material along a perforated edge to fit either a tall (unmodified shaper), medium or short boot. Once fully inserted, it gives the boot enough stiffness to generally stand on its own, but whether it does or not will depend on the boot's centre of gravity and the condition of the heel/sole. I found a good solution is to clip pairs together with a clothes peg (or similar type of fastener) to give better balance - see the photo. One concern I have is whether the plastic will survive continuous use. I wonder if any longevity testing was performed. The circular hanging tab has already snapped after two weeks on one on the shapers - not surprisingly because it's at the front where the bend is greatest, so the plastic is stressed more in this region where the profile changes. It may be a better design to put the hanging tab at the edge rather than in the middle - perhaps this could also incorporate a method of holding a pair of boots together instead of my clothes peg method. This failure is no big deal for us since my wife doesn't need the hanger, but if it starts to break in other places, particularly along the perforated edges for the other boot sizes, it will likely render the product useless. I realize these are only $8, but really you're only paying for a laser-cut plastic profile, so if they need to be replaced after a few months the value for money aspect will decrease significantly. I'll update my review at a later date to say how things are going. Right now though, I like them a lot for their simplicity and effectiveness. All in all, an excellent product worth buying (and cheaper than marriage counselling).Update 23/2/2016 : Still work well. Still married.Update 21/1/2017 : Still work well. Still married. Upgraded to 5 stars (Shapers, not marriage).

I have a boot obsession and have multiple pairs. I had looked everywhere for something to keep the shaft of the boots from toppling over and having the boys of the house throw their shoes on top of my precious boots. Now they stand perfectly erect in a proud display on the top of the shoe rack. haha :)Love that you can cut them to fit the shorter boots as well. Very simplistic design and low price. Nothing fancy here, but they serve their purpose and I am happy my search has come to an end. I just hope I can order more of the same if I add to my collection (although I really shouldn't!).
