Headphone element works fine but mic levels are very weak or not functional.Despite troubleshooting most party members can barley hear voices though the microphone.

For what it is, and the price that is asked for it, it's a good little headset if you're on a bit of a budget.-The microphone is flip to mute, and for me so far that feature works perfectly.-It's a lightweight headset, but this is due to it being predominantly made from plastic, and not aluminium like many of the higher price point headsets are, and as someone who wears glasses I haven't noticed any sort of discomfort with this headset in that regard at all - if that's important to you as well, you should do fine with this one.-It comes with a pop filter for the mic, but anyone I've gamed with said I sound better without the filter, so it's not something that I've made use of. If you want that, though, it's there. Overall, I've had no one complain about the mic quality once I removed the pop filter.-It's adjustable, so if you have a smaller head (or a bigger one like I do,) you should be fine with making this headset fit you the way you need. The only time I've noticed any pain is if I've had it fitting too tightly to my head (mostly if I'm laying back as it slips off my head otherwise), and it's not actually that bad.My only con with this headset is that it's stereo sound, and therefore it can take some major fiddling with sound settings to get it to sound as nice as I like my headsets to sound. Once you find that sweet spot, however, it's perfect and I don't have to mess with it very often at all.If surround sound is important to you, though, this headset is NOT going to be for you. I got past it in time, but until then I was seriously leaning toward returning this headset purely because it didn't sound like I wanted it to.I've owned this item for about 5 months now and it's worked fantastically that entire time, so if you're on the fence about it for any reason, take the chance if nothing I've mentioned here is a deal breaker for you. It's been used on Xbox and on PC since I've received it, and it works perfectly on both platforms.*NOTE:* If you want to use it on PC, you WILL need a splitter cord if your tower/laptop has the separate mic and headphone ports, and this doesn't come with one like some do. It wasn't a con for me, as I had one from a prior headset, but it's something to be aware of.Time will tell with how it holds up long term, but so far I'm pretty impressed for the roughly $40 i paid for it on sale.

I bought this due to the fact it was on sale and I absolutely love hyper-x products. The sound quality is a little lacking compared to their other headsets and to position of the volume dial is awesome but it's very easy to accidentally turn down or up the volume. The dial has no resistance so it's easy to randomly change the volume when not intended. It is extremely lightweight so if that is what you're looking for then this is the product but it's at the cost of sound quality. The earmuff part is a dense lightweight foam. As for the mics sound quality it is good and clear.

This head set is great for those who like gaming. After trying out many, these have been the best quality. No issues using these. They work on multiple devices. The sound quality is very good. Microphone works well and is clear for those on the receiving end. Does not cut out or go choppy like others we have tried. They don’t completely cancel out noise. Great for children, teens, and adults!

This headset is great. I was concerned that the microphone would not be clear like the high end hyper x cloud ii which I own. I was wrong it completely works as clear and great. The sound quality is still pretty good just a level below the the cloud 2. Otherwise this is a perfect spare headset for work or gaming. 100% recommend this headset for anyone on the market looking for a good headset.

Works well for Xbox gaming as advertised. Mic swivel to mute, volume control, comes with mic cover. For anyone wondering it also seems to work with my PS4 which is an added bonus. Very nice and comfy for the price! would reccomend!

I once owned a Hyper X Cloud: Stinger: $100 that I picked up from Eb Games and it's been my only Hyper X headset until now. It worked great and I ended up cleaning it and gifting it to my brother when I bought the 3dpulse because he didn't have a headset. Let me just start by saying that this Cloud Core II sounds better than my Sony 3D Pulse (wired) that I paid $140 for a couple years ago. The pulse has seen some wear and tear, and finally snapped at one of the stem connectors after two years. (RIP pulse. You were a good headset) .... however , I am still in complete shock that a $50 headset like this Cloud Core II sounds better than my $140 Sony brand 3D Pulse.Hyper X truly knows what they're doing making quality cheap headsets and I don't think I'll ever buy another brand of headset again unless I spring for some senns or det's (audiophiles know), my ONLY gripe with this purchase is that they went on sale for $34, two days after I paid $50 for them. Which isn't Hyper X or Amazon's fault. If you're considering getting these, pull the trigger. The bad reviews are a hot pile of steaming garbage. Don't even waste your time reading them. They made me a bit nervous, but I'm glad I chose this headset. Showed up exactly as advertised and is what you'd expect from Hyper X.
