Square. Solid construction. Ruler doesn’t slide when you don’t want it to. What more do you need out of a combination square??

These look and feel like a quality set. Why would they put them in a cheap, flimsy, non-compartmented case? Someday I will make a proper wooden case with French cutouts to protect these.

Storage case was broken and 12inch combination square is not accurate. Checked against my machinist square and It is 0.7mm out in its total lenth.I am assuming its poor quality control or was damaged bent out of square from the impact via the cracked case .I have neither the time or patience to send it back to the USA so £60 in the bin

This is a nice heavy set of squares. I got mine from LV for $50. Which is a great deal. I would have liked a bit darker markings and just a touch smoother finish but overall still a 5 star for me.

They are accurately square. However, they arrived with so many rough edges and a tough coating of some sort, that they are nearly unusable without a lot of smoothing work to make them slide well enough for any accuracy. For that price they should arrive in working condition!

This is a fine set of combination squares. I was hesitant at first to buy them over Starrett but for the price I had to at least give them a try. If they weren't as described I would have simply returned them since this was a Prime purchase. Fortunately that wasn't the case.I cleaned and lubricated both squares before checking their accuracy. I checked the 6" and 12" squares against my Kinex 875/1 machinist square that is accurate to .0005 and a pair of 1-2-3 blocks, and both squares are accurate. I checked inside and outside for square with the blade, then removed the blade and checked the head for square. I also did the pencil line test and both squares passed for square. I checked the 45 degree miter against my Kinex machinist protractor and both are dead-on accurate. I laid the blades down on my jointer bed and both appear perfectly flat. I checked the rulers for accuracy against my Shinwa 12" 4R rule and all markings lined up perfectly. I also checked the ends of each blade for squareness and all checked good. The heads lock down tight against the blades without having to overly tighten the locking mechanisms and the blades are fairly easy to remove and reinstall. Overall this is an excellent set of squares and a great deal.Update: The scriber is cheaply made. I tried to remove it from the 12" square and the head came off leaving the scribe stuck in the square. I had taken out once before with no issue. I deducted one star. It's still a very nice set of squares for the price, but considering some of the cheaper squares at the big box stores have much higher quality scribes I had to deduct the star.
