Great product. More silent preamp than my rode videomic. Too bad it does not have any other way to fasten in to a dslr except velcro... but for the price it is a superb value.

For those of you who love to record live gigs, this is ideal. I bought this device so I could record clean audios and videos at the same time so there's syncing in real time. Gotta say the audios come out so clean and there's no problem at all in using any phones, easy to connect to. Quality is excellent đŸ‘ŒđŸ» just need batteries to have it function and an XLR cable to mixer. About the price, that could've been a bit lesser as their company app doesn't exist or work and it is a small device too with just a belt strap and a short cable to connect your phone to. And some batteries. Perhaps cable could've been longer.

Just get the HD version + power adapter so you never need to burn batteries (plus charge your phone same time). Yeah it's like 2.5x the cost but you get what you pay for. The audio quality and noise on this isn't great. I picked up the HD (for my bass cab mic), HD2 (idk it just came as a bundle I'll prob sell it) and Power adapter second hand for 110$ on Kijiji lol (it was a steal tho ngl)

You think you were in a studio when using the irig2! The only downfall would be that you can’t plug-in a 1/4” cable to guitar as it only takes a mic low impediments cable. But thankfully I have a Crafter guitar with both inputs. Was able to mix the final recording eight from garage band after the recording.

I couldn't figure out why I kept hearing 'pops' in the soundtrack when I was shooting video on my iphone12. (The mic I was using is a 'professional grade' Sennheiser wireless.) My friend, an audio engineer, explained that the audio signal from my older gear was 'analog', and the phone wanted a 'digital' signal. So I bought and routed my mic through the 1K IRig pre-amp processor, the analog signal was 'digitized' (processed as a 24-bit digital format), and no more pops... So really happy with that outcome. The unit appears well constructed, was ready to use right out of the box and only took ten minutes of testing to dial in the optimum gain (input) level for the mic. So now I can use this for all my older analog gear including my mixers and boom mics...
