This set of snap ring pliers is exactly what is needed to service your Gearwrench and Maximum (similar designs) ratchets. Removing this snap ring cant be easier without these pliers and allows me to easily reach the inners of the ratchets to clean and lubricate them. Doing brake and suspension jobs gets dirt and crude stuck inside this type of ratchets. This Knipex snapring plier is a great deal at 20$ and will live up to my wildest expectations in my shop as it feels super solid and accurate; tips are perfectly aligned.

I have 6 pairs of Knipex snap ring pliers and they all function well. Grab and hold the rings...what more can you ask! The finish is not super pretty, but these tools do the job.
