These are just what they seem to be, small paper funnels with a plastic mesh filter in the bottom inch to act as a filter for paint or other liquids. The paper is not that different from any other and will eventually soak apart and cannot really be used more than once. The filter screen is fine enough to result in paint that can pass through a sprayer without any clumps and can also help clean up older paints that have lots of dry flakes mixed in.

I chose this 50-pack of 100 micron paint filter/strainers for general use around my garage as I routinely use both automotive and oil-based paints in an HVLP gun to paint motorcycle parts/car parts and various fabricated metal parts. I've purchased paint strainers from an autobody supply retailer and found that while they work well, they're expensive for everyday use. These strainers, however, are a great alternative to pro-grade strainers. While they're quite lightweight and the paper appears to be unfinished (no waterproofing), they work quite well for my DIY needs. I used them this past weekend to strain out thinned primer and thinned Tremclad for HVLP application on some custom build motorcycle parts. While a bit flimsy, they worked great. The listing indicates "thick, high-quality paper" but these really aren't any thicker than any standard printer paper you might see in an office. They crease and fold easily so you may need to unfurl them a bit to remain open while you're pouring through paint. For my use (filtering maybe 100-500 ml of paint at a time), these are an excellent economical choice but if you're looking to filter a gallon of paint, these probably won't hold up. I'm happy with them.
