The design is good and the compass works well. The biggest advantage isThe rubber on the back can be attached to thick watch straps.HoweverThe durability is so bad. The case and compass are separated. The price seems high compared to the durability.

Now I can plot my direction in life. I will probably choose the wrong path but will know which direction I am going.

This KanPas watch band compass is perhaps the best in class I've seen and used, even better in function than the Suunto Clipper because of its crisp, white bezel numerals and markings, and more importantly its bezel's very visible Orienting Pointer with a very luminous dot. In practice, one can hold the wrist across the body, face an distant objective/feature, and rotate the bezel so that the Orienting Pointer aligns with the North of the Compass Card, or rotate the bezel to set a desired azimuth (bearing/direction) on the compass as it faces away from across the body. One can now bring the wrist back up and across the body as you walk and insure that the North of the Compass Card aligns with the Orienting Pointer. In my opinion, a watch band or wrist compass is a great solution for anyone and everyone who backpacks or hikes, even on well curated, marked, and maintained trails, and even in this day and age of SmartWatches and SmartPhones. Those Smart devices get dumb when their battery runs out or if dropped. Always have a good mechanical compass in the wilderness. But just having a compass isn't enough. One needs to learn how to use it and diligently use it, and be aware of the terrain and features around you and the direction in which you should be heading. Many hikers have found themselves lost simply by walking off trail when nature calls or to examine a distant feature, only to find themselves "turned around". Learn that "there should be a road somewhere to my right" or "the hillside should be to my left all the time" or "I should come to a road in a few miles" - such things keep you aware of position.Quickly glance down at the watch band or wrist compass to see the direction in which you are heading off the trail. A A compass like this allows you to rotate the bezel so that the bezel's Orienting Pointer aligns with the South of the Compass Card, so that to return to the trail, simply walk so that the North of the Compass Card then aligns with Orienting Pointer. Or note the azimuth reading as you face off trail (align the Pointer and North and read the angle on the bezel that your facing off trail) and then note the azimuth to return is directly opposite that on the bezel. The build quality is also very good; I've bought four of these for my use and as gifts, all delivered during below freezing temperatures, and none have had bubbles. Some reviewers have complained that the button compass can work free of the softer plastic watch band mount - I'd suggest periodically checking whether the compass seems loose by gently trying to rotate it in its mount, and if it seems so, remove and glue it in place in the mount.

安いのもあるがこれは値段だけの事はある。完成度は文句無し。表面パネルが蓄光なのは驚いた。

Works well; points to the north accurately. The heading ring is easy to rotate. The markings are clear and easy to read.Conveniently fits onto my hiking pack's chest strap. The backing is soft silicone, so it'd be comfortable with a wrist strap as well.I also bought a Suunto Clipper for comparison, and I like actually the KanPas much more. The ring on the Suunto is hard to rotate, and it has a hard plastic clip on the back, which doesn't feel secure or comfortable. The dial on the Suunto also gets stuck quite a bit. And the KanPas is quite a bit cheaper than the Suunto. All wins for the KanPas!
