Smaller than anticipated but that's okay, seems good and sturdy so far. Guniea pig was drawn to it, so no complaints.

Nice dish for the money but was expecting either the purple (pictured) hamster bowl or as the description down below stated for hamster when I chose it, blue. We would have been fine with either but got red so my daughter was very disappointed. When the product description above says "varies" I thought that was because you had to choose which animal you're purchasing for and each animal dish was a different color. Buyer beware it doesn't work that way.

Small navy blue Hamster bowl, just as pictured. Sturdy ceramic,easy to clean, images are on well. Would order again.

I love these bowls because my hamsters can't tip them over and they can be put in the dishwasher.However, despite the small size of the bowl my adult robo hamster struggles with it, the sides are slightly too high for him, and with his stubby legs he can't get reach into the bowl very easily and gets frustrated. I had to buy him bowls with shorter sides.However, my Chinese hamster has no issues with this Kaytee bowl, I think this bowl is suitable for any small rodent other than a robo.So for all you robo owners: get dishes that are no taller than 1 inch. If they are any taller your robo may have difficulty with them.

I bought this for a water bowl for my gerbils and they are able to drink from it. I have dropped it a few times, thankfully it didn't break. It is sturdy.
