Love it. Buying me a second one to keep in my keyboard carry case as a spare/travel tool. I haven't had it damage any switches yet, but I have noticed after pulling several hundred switches that the grabber-arms start to bend outward and begin to slip off the switch when pulling up after clamping down - which can be easily fixed with a pair of pliers and some bending back in to original shape but worth noting the arms do lose their shape with use. I also like they keycap arms swing out so I can use just one at a time when pulling up my space-bar keycaps without having the second one dangle in the way. I also noticed I leave fewer scratch marks on my aluminum switch-plates with this tool than using a classic metal switch-puller.I do wish the switch-grabber arms would retain their shape longer, but perhaps it's best they aren't so stiff that eventual repair bending isn't super difficult either.

I've always hated pulling out switches with that little C shaped tool, this makes it incredibly easy and simple, literally just being the click of a button. From what I can tell, it doesn't scratch or damage the switches. The build quality is good, and it feels pretty sturdy. Translucent plastic is always pretty cool, too. Good price and shipped in like two days.Further edit after 2 hours of use:I deducted two stars, as unfortunately, after some use pulling switches, it seems like one of the plastic bits on the inside doesn't work right anymore. It still works, but takes significantly more effort to use, as I now need to physically smack the top to release a switch, instead of an easy press.

im sure it would have worked great but the refirbished keyboard when i replaced a key they had broken off one of the pins inside the keyboard and jammed the replacement key in.

My keyboard came with an over-long metal strip bent into a U, and one of the prongs intended to unclip the actual key was too short. It took me literally over an hour of cursing and fighting with my low-profile switches with my original to swap 104 keys. With this tool, it was SO MUCH BETTER. It was fast. It was worth the cost for me because I have two keyboards, and room mates with their own mechanicals, and nobody had a tool for it. They've let their molds go a little too long, the wire loops for pulling keys just don't stay clipped on one side and act like they're bent even though they aren't, but beyond that it was pretty perfectly built. Seems solid and reliable, from an engineering eye it's a good minimum build. The eject button is a bit of a launcher, so lay out a cloth to shoot your keys at or they'll dance across your desk.I found the most consistent use by appling next to no force ever, and just rocking until I heard the clicks of the keyswitch releasing on each side. When I tried to pull more, it always made things worse. A little side-to-side while twisting back and forth slightly, and I could legitimately go through more than two keyswitches in ten seconds. That's pretty respectable to me.A must-have if you're doing a keyswitch swap, moreso if you do several.

This thing is a gift from the Lord above. Cuts the time to strip a keyboard by 90%. I have tons of switch pullers and this thing just blows through switches like no other. No pinching or trying to find the tabs. Just auto align, press (nice click), pull up, move to where you want the switch dropped, and press the button. Key cap puller is so so but it works where I need it to. If the switch doesn't come right out, press the red button and try again, it didn't get under the latch fully. This product will not disappoint and it will prove itself to be far more valuable than it's price. If you want keyboard teardowns to be fun, get this. If only they could make an auto switch luber. That would be insane

I found this to be excellent for the money. All-in-one unit that is a decent size to hold and use. Recommended for light use and occasional keyboard cleans and servicing.

I bought the clear version and it works well. No complaints. it can be tricky to use in some cases, like if there are plate cutouts close to the switch sides. However i noticed new colours available for this tool and a statement thats its made from stainless steel. the plastic version is good but being metal would help with rigidity. I bought another one but its not made of metal, its still plastic. So I returned it. These are all made of plastic. the actual tangs that grab the switch or cap are metal but the rest of unit is plastic.

The switch puller is completely useless, cannot even pull a switch off a tester plate. Tried on three different keyboards and none is successful. There is either a design flaw or QC issue which make the switch puller mechanism cannot maintain retracted when inserted onto a switch. The claw would spring open immediately once pressure is released from the switch without pressing the button on the other end.Upon inspecting the product, as seen in the pictures, the black circled catch is not close enough to fully secure the switch puller mechanism resulting in failure in securing the switch for pulling.Good thing I got the clear version of the product or it would not be possible to see the design/QC flaw of the product.

I wanted to change a couple of switches on my mechanical keyboard and also clean the keyboard bed and came across this product which could do both tasks.Included in the packaging is the 2 in 1 switch and keycap puller and the user guide. Honestly, the instructions and the pictures are pretty clear and the item is easy to use. To remove a keycap, unfold the two metal flaps on the side, put the two hooks under a key cap and pull it. To remove a switch, make sure the clamp is released by pressing the red top, align the clamp and shaft with a keycap, press down on the shaft without touching the top, pull the shaft and keyboard and finally, press the red top to release the keyboard switch.Honestly, it solved pretty much the two problems I had and I’m quite happy with the result. I highly recommend it for those tasks or if you are a keyboard enthusiast.

The Good Parts+ Two in one tool+ The keycap puller is the "egg whisk" style, which is the one I prefer over the horrible plastic ones+ The switch puller works very well for me. Basically you align the clamp with the two tabs on the switch and press it down, which will lock the clamp to the switch. You then carefully pull up the the tool to pull the switch out of the plate, and press the red button to release the switch. If you have trouble popping out switches with a normal switch puller (and breaking the tabs in the process), this could be the ideal solution for you.Nitpicks / Hit or Miss* The instructions could be more clearly written for the switch puller. Having said that, if you press the switch puller all the way down on a flat surface you'll see how it works to grab a switch, and it will all make sense to you.Possible Dealbreakers- It's a little pricey for what it does
