Returned before using because I didn't realize the advertised R-value was not the standardized ASTM measurement. The industry has moved to this measurement so the consumer can do an apples-to-apples comparison, and the standard was finalized in 2019. Disappointed to see this pad listed here with Klymit's historical R-value rating system rather than the new (2+ years old) ASTM one.

I’ve used this product over 30 times now. It is a little narrow but is lite weight and has a good R value. Great price

I'm torn between whether I think this is 3 star or 4 star or hell even 5 star. The quality is phenomenal, it packs down crazy small. I haven't tested how well it is insulated against cold ground yet.The quality of sleep is going to depend on how you sleep. I'm a stomach sleeper, and when it's fully inflated I find it uncomfortably rigid. I don't feel the ground through it, but there isn't enough "sag" so that my knees hurt anyways. When I partially deflate it I wake up in the middle of the night because my hips hurt while side sleeping (apparently I roll over while I sleep). So make of that what you will. If you're a back sleeper I think this will be PERFECT, if you're strictly a side sleeper I think this would be great as well depending how much you toss and turn, or even if you're strictly a stomach sleeper it's great. My issue comes when I'm switching between stomach and side.It is a little squeaky but once I actually lay down on it I no longer hear it even when tossing and turning (or at least very minimally). This has the flip valve, and honestly I prefer the flip valve over the old push/pull valve (have used both). Retains air very well.

Best air mattress I've ever slept on. Very comfortable. Small and lightI was camping in -5C conditions and I slept directly on the mattress with a thick blanket on top of me. I was very warm. It isolates you extremely well from the cold ground.Zero complaints and used it for 30-50 nights so far.

Used for backpacking / canoeing in the Boundary Waters Wilderness Area in cool weather (overnight temps below freezing - snow / sleet). I slept on this and my daughter had the non-insulated version. We have 15 degree F rated bags and wore wool long underwear and socks to bed and were never cold. The non insulated performed fine but I am future proofing for winter camping (we camp in Minnesota and in some mountain regions out west) by getting the insulated version. If you ever camp on cold ground do not underestimate the benefit of an insulated pad, it makes a big difference in making it easier to retain body heat. It won’t make you hot in the summer or anything, so still an all purpose pad. At less than 1 pound, worth it unless you are really counting ounces for ultralightThe pad itself is quick to inflate with your breath alone which is awesome when you are exhausted. A patch kit including super glue is included in an inner pocket which is essential (what good is a patch kit at home when you are lying flat on the hard cold ground?)The pad feels amazing to lay on...the baffles are well designed to prevent dead zones with limbs falling asleep (my pet peeve of air mattresses). I did not find myself sliding off at night either, though my 10 year old kept ending up at the bottom of hers (user error).I am buying 2 more for my husband and son for backpacking trips. We have pads we bought years ago thinking they were tiny back then, but these pads compact to be TINY...like a little bigger than a can of soup. AMAZING technology. They take up so little space in your pack it is crazyAnother thing I liked was that there were easy to roll up and fit back neatly in the stuff sack. I like keeping an organized pack and hate when I struggle to fit things into their stuff sacks.

The pad is lightweight and easy to inflate - seven to eight exhales. The minor issue is the pad is narrow and slides on my tent floor - this, however, is common with most/all lightweight pads. The pad is 11 oz - there are lighter weight pads available but at 5X's the cost and only savings 2 to 3 oz. The deep baffles provide extra support and definitely add comfort. This pad is non-insulated but I was comfortable during a 18 degree F night of camping. Recommended.

I will preface this with the fact I work in retail in the Outdoor industry, so get to look at a lot of products and hear loads of feedback from our customers as to how they get on with various product. I also spend a lot of time sleeping outdoors in the UK.This is by far one of the best Roll Mats you can get your hands on. It is compact, only takes (on average) 9 breaths to blow up, is supportive and is ultra-comfy. You can sleep on your back or on your side with no problems. I haven't tested the insulative properties fully yet.Spoken to many people having come back from the USA raving on about seeing many people using these mats on Thru-Hikes. I can see why! A real competitor to Therm-a-rest, and I would argue much better than their crinkly NeoAir XLite. You Won't regret any Klymit product. I've also got their Large Pillow X, perfect combo!
