I switched to bass trombone a couple of years ago, and my old tenorstand is just not sturdy enough for the heavier instrument. The K&M is much sturdier and works very well for a bass. The shaft also stays put when you lock it in place.

I bought this as a replacement for my wobbly trombone stand that couldn't support my instrument. This stand is amazing so far. It's easily collapsible for transportation, but very sturdy when in use. I would suggest getting a sock or creating your own fabric protector for the top where the horn sits just as safety for the metal etc when there's repeated on and off placement because I have seen indents from the rubber at the top (not sure if it was this brand or not but you get the jist) in some of my friends trombones which is unfortunate. The price is worth it as I have no concerns regarding if my trombone will fall or not (Yamaha tenor/bass with f-attachment). If you have a small tenor trombone, maybe look into something lighter that's a bit cheaper but if you have a horn with an attachment or bass trombone, this would work awesome.
