Legere Signature Reed

Signature for Clarinet

The Signature for clarinet reeds are perfectly centred. They produce a warm, rich tone in all registers of the instrument. They are cut thinner and are stiffer than natural cane generating a clear, focused sound.

Maintenance & Care: No Break-in Required

  • Durable and will last longer than the standard cane reed, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Legere reeds are also built to withstand various playing climates. The synthetic material keeps the tone and response consistent over time.
  • Ready to play right out of the box without a break-in period. No soaking or pre-wetting necessary because of the synthetic material and durability.
  • Requires little maintenance. A simple rinse with water after use is sufficient. Utilize the included carrying case to protect your reed when you are not playing.
  • Advanced & professional musicians will appreciate the responsiveness & sound clarity of the Légère European Cut, Signature, and French Cut lines while students and marching band performers may prefer our Classic models which have greater durability.

  • European, Classic, Signature, & French Cut. Most of these reeds are available for Bass, Bb, Contrabass, and Eb clarinets.

Like the plastic reeds as they last much longer than wood ones. It is great they come in 1/4 increment's of strength for better progression to harder reeds. I do prefer the European cut but thats my personal choice.

It is what it is. No difference than the one in long & mcquade, and it is a little cheaper in long & mcquade.

Sadly i got an unbalanced reed. Is this the similarity with cane? At least cane reed can be sanded to be balanced. Looks like i will be staying with cane reeds.

I love Legere reeds, so did not want to give the product a 1 star review. However, this reed arrived in an opened box. For a product you put in your mouth this would be bad at any time, but in the current pandemic situation I am appalled that a "new" product was shipped in this condition.

Was not impressed at all. I have used these reeds for many years without a problem but these ones were narrow and did not fit on my mouth piece properly

Cheaper since it lasts "forever". Great for doublers who need to change instruments. Always works the same. Don't need to soak.

I've used it daily in the past month with my R13 and it sounds pretty good. I don't have to worry about the climate or anything.
