Fui demasido rápido o la descripción del artículo no era suficientemente clara. La cuestión es que la caña era para un clarinete bajo y no me sirve. Alguien la quiere?

If you've never played a plastic or resin reed because you had a bad experience several years ago or some close minded teacher told you they were bad sounding then you are doing yourself a great disservice. These reeds are as good as cane and have a warm full tone. These are NHOT the same as other brands. Each brand has their proprietary materials and manufacture techniques. I've played most of them available synthetics and found a great use for them but these are by far the best of the bunch.

Great reed for a great price. It has the consistency of a normal wet reed, so this synthetic reed can play dry, which is VERY helpful when playing Contrabass. Contrabass reeds are hard to find so buying a sturdy synthetic reed that will never go bad and keep its shape forever is highly recommended. It plays well, I just wish it had something to keep it in. I have to use its original packaging like in the picture to put it away, which is fine, it just isn't as convenient. I have played on this reed all through college and it served me great. I highly recommend buying this.

It's a miracle of design -- doesn't need much wetting, always perfectly formed, stands up to wear and tear. Looks nifty. {g} Being translucent (moreso than cane) I can check how well it's making a seal, too. The actual sound is... acceptable, at least, but I'd want to use it a lot more before I feel comfortable comparing it more than that. Good enough to be a reasonable alternative anyway, at least for my purposes. Now the only significant downside so far: it feels like it needs maybe 5 to 10% more air to make it work properly -- which on a contrabass is no small difference! But that would be a side effect of it being sturdier material which won't casually break during a performance, so even on a contra I'm willing to trade off there. You may decide the endurance hit is a more serious problem, or that the extra effort is messing with your tone or enunciation too much (and the sound itself in any case IS a bit different from the different physical material and properties).
