I like this compass.it is meant for fun, not accuracy, so be careful with any metal objects nearby.I like it because of the antique appearance, and inside is a good quality compass.the compass its self is accurate, as long as there aren't any metal objects near it.:)

Bought one for myself and liked it so much that I gave it away as a gift and bought a second one for myself. Nice water mounted compass in a pocket watch case. Very classy and fits in a pocket very well. Has a some what crude copy of the New York state quarter art work on the cover for some reason and a world map on the back. Both compasses were free of defects and worked well. With this type of compass, you have to hold it very level to get a good reading of magnetic north. Both seemed to point fairly close to north, within 5 degrees which is not bad for this kind of compass. Since there is no way to take a sighting greater accuracy would not make much different difference.
