About this item

  • Delivers 1,000 or more cuts without changing the wheel
  • Advanced diamond technology provides 30X longer life than thin bonded cutoff wheels in metal cutting applications* *Average performance in 1” carbon steel square tube vs. thin bonded abrasive cutoff wheels.
  • Solid steel wheel body greatly reduces risk of breakage for added safety, increased productivity, reduced downtime, and a lower cost per cut compared to thin bonded cutoff wheels
  • Maintains original wheel diameter throughout the life of the blade for better control, reach, and precision
  • Does not wear down like bonded abrasives reducing dust particles for a cleaner work station

Lenox MetalMax is the new standard for metal cutting abrasives. Breakthrough diamond technology delivers 1,000 or more cuts (30 times longer life than thin bonded cutoff wheels)* without sacrificing speed or finish. Made of solid steel to greatly reduce the risk of breakage, the combination of a steel body with a diamond edge allows MetalMax to hold its original wheel diameter until the last cut, meaning better control, reach, and cut precision throughout the wheel life. The enhanced design substantially reduces dust particles and lessens odor. Lenox MetalMax is suitable for metal cutting applications including steel, sheet metal, stainless steel, rebar, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and works at the same speeds and feeds as thin bonded abrasive wheels.

This cut an axle off of a motorcycle like butter. Looks like it’ll hold up for a long time. I’ve used this brand in the past and trust it.

These do work faster and last longer than an abrasive disk. I use them to remove the heads of some stainless steel rivets so I cold remove the old rubber seals.

Bought this to cut Ikea cabinet mounting rail stock, 18 gauge I thinkVery thin kerf, less sparks than abrasive wheel and safer than an abrasive wheel for this purpose.

We use it for vanilla Siding, works extremely well. Also works when we need to cur metal ,not as fast a a good zip but not as much breakage on jobsite

Seems to cut metal smoothly, reebars, H iron. angle iron, pipes no problem. Better and more economical than the standard cut off wheels.
