The wiring is a bit complicated, but the instructions are clear--it just takes a bit of patience and care. Note that a companion toggle switch for 3-way operation is wired differently than it would be for a conventional 3-way with dual toggle switches, so you have to rewire the toggle as part of the installation. At one end of a stairwell, the motion switch activates the lights, which stay on for a programmed length of time if there is no further motion. The toggle switch at the other end can turn lights on and off, although "off" is achieved by a 2x toggle.

Almost all the complaints were about compatibility with LED bulbs and yet the seller chooses not to address this issue.I installed this for my garage I put in 6 A19 LED lights of 9.5 W each and have exactly the same problem as described in most of the reviews. I then replaced ONE of the bulbs with an equivalent LED bulb of the same wattage 9.5 W. but of a different brand. And hey presto, it works!! I can’t figure out why. I have examined the specifications on both types of bulbs and couldn’t find any difference.I am still baffled and I hope the seller can come out with an explanation. My main worry is when I have to replace a fused bulb. Will it still work?Update: After looking further , I found out that the original 6 light bulbs were non dimmable type but if I replace just one of them with a dimmable one, then it works. Not sure if that’s the real reason or it’s just fluke.

I was to use it on a single bulb for a staircase and works as advertised with an incandescent bulb. Things go south when using a led bulb, the unit is not using a contact and too much leakeage current is going through and bulb still emits a small amount of light.Instructions are also asking for a totally useless jumper in the 2nd 3way, as I confirmed it works without it. It works with a unipolar in the second box.

Works fine with LED bulbs. Problem I have is the switch maintaining power, it intermittently stops working forcing me to reset it through the send switch. This is hooked 3-Way.

I was fortunate enough that I have a new house and the wiring was relatively easy to figure out. The instructions were not a lot of help though as others have pointed out. The need for adding wiring to the second of your switches may put some off. It definitely isn't plug and play. The good news is that is will work exactly as advertised if you can get it wired up properly. The down side for me is that it will not work with standard LED bulbs as others have pointed out. In my case the switch controls 2 light fixtures with 4 bulbs in total. I had to put a standard 60 watt bulb in one of the sockets to stop the other 3 LED bulbs from flickering. The only solution I have found to this is to get a Y-adapter for one of the light sockets and put a low wattage (25 watt) regular incandescent candelabra bulb on one side of the Y (so now I have 5 bulbs on the switch). It seems to give enough resistance that the flickering stops, without wasting more power than I need to. For those of you with the same problem it might be worth a try! Good luck.

I bought this sensor specifically to work with 4 x 17 watt LED medium base screw in bulbs but when turned on the bulbs all strobed such that my garage is now a disco ! Even when turned off, the bulbs pulsed every second.I spoke to Leviton technical support to confirm everything with the installation and they said that it should work but recommended another model of LED compatible light. Given their spec clearly includes LED bulbs and that the bulbs connected were less than half of the advertised LED load of 150 watts I am pretty disappointed.
