They send you a plastic razor blade to scrape off the protective coating. After you manage to peel off 6 plastic coatings, one in each side of the three piece set, you are left with the black shiny coating. It’s a horrible experience and incredibly difficult to peel off. I happily had a box cutter to help the process.That wasn’t the worst part! I thought then I could assemble the three pieces.No I couldn’t! Once I peeled off the coating I went to put it together and it doesn’t fit. The pegs are too large to fit in the slots. I am going to have to use a dremel to shave off the sides to fit in the stand.Second worst product I’ve ever bought on Amazon in 10+ years. Do not buy this!

Ok, so the protective film was a little difficult at first. Use tool included on any edge of the stand and apply pressure. This won't scratch the stand. Took 1 minute to finish the rest after I got the first side off. As for assembly, yes it's a tight fit. That's a good thing. Again, one must apply a good amount of pressure straight down. As it was close I just rocked them back and forth while applying downward force. They are flush with the base.The stand is solid,no wobble. I really like the design! I will be ordering one more in the very near future.

Fancy, expensive light sabers deserve the right resting place. This is a good quality stand that does not detract from your display, yet provides a stable mount to place your most valuable light saber.

This stands pegs are too small to hold the Savi Workshop saber hilt I wanted to put on it. They are also too small for the black series saber hilts I have. It would have to be a pretty skinny saber hilt to fit in the grooves, methinks.
