I’ve always liked lisle, but this need a revise. The tips are cross hatched but not very sharply, let lock rings slip easily. Expected better from made in USA Lisle.

Alicates que son para anillos de seguridad o llamados cir- clip sin agujeros.Yo los he utilizado para sacar los anillos de unas trasmisiones del grupo vag y la verdad que si no los hubiera tenido,habria tardado mas tiempo en sacar los anillos, que estan bien duros para abrirlos.Es la tipica herramienta que no se utiliza nunca,pero cuando te hace falta la hechas de menos.Pues ya esta en mi caja de herramientas

These lock ring pliers seem sturdy enough to handle any of the rings in my Muncie 4 speed transmission. I have not disassembled the transmission yet but have tested it on one of the snap rings on the main shaft. I will not have any issues with the rest of the snap rings with this tool.The knurling on the plier tips are very pronounced which will help keep the snap ring ends firmly in place.I would recommend this tool for anyone rebuilding manual transmissions.
