Typically hand tools are evaluated on theor prefoemance, but I don't even want to touch these, I've cleaned them 6 times now and they still smell like a porta-potty

don't let the size deter you, it's knipex, with knipex quality. Have you ever seen those snapon adds where the guy picks up a nickle with a pair of pliers? It's like that, but in vise grip. You could probably perform surgery with these things.

Esse não é um modelo heavy duty, não foi feito para ser forte ou robusto, o acabamento poderia ser melhor, sem irregularidades na usinagem, os mordentes se desgastam facilmente.Os alicates de pressão da Knipex não são feitos pela própria Knipex e sim por um OEM alemã chamada Bolmann-Selzer.A Knipex têm pela capacidade para fazer melhor.Para alicates de pressão nesse estilo, os da 3.Peaks saem na frente, seguidos pela Grip-On.

I keep these in my kitchen drawer, for those small jobs that come up. The jaws line up perfectly. Although small, the handles are rounded and not uncomfortable to set. The handles release with a squeeze, which makes them better for jobs that need quick setting and releasing. Standard thumbscrew to adjust the jaw width. I pull these out and use them often.

I cannot understand the basis for the negative reviews. I found these to be very well made and well designed. I bought 5 and they were all consistently perfect. The jaws line up and the operation is smooth. I also bought some of the GEDORE 137 KR-7 and I prefer these. The jaws on these have greater travel when releasing the lock and open wider. Much easier to use without constantly adjusting the screw. I suppose the Gedore might be set up to have greater leverage and clamping force but it is not readily apparent. If I had to pick one to have close at hand for most applications it would be this one.

Not impressed with the quality. I have bought Irwin locking pliers that are smoother, have no play when locked for half the price. Poor fit and finish.
