This is the second set of this item i bought. I returned the first set because of the lack of quality, hoping it was just a fluke that i got a bad set, I bought another one. The "plier" side of this set is good. The springs do pop out as well. The biggest problem is the "cutting" side of the pliers is horrible! The are gaps in the cutting area of the pliers that make cutting impossible. The cutting area on 1 of the pliers is flat? The other issue, I did not get the correct pliers! It said it came with a small set of linesman type pliers, but it came with a "jewelers" set of pliers. I actually bought the mini linesman separately because of their error. I'm returning this set again.

Good for the price; the pair with the double cone tips is unusual for such assortments. The plastic box was unnecessary but I will use it for something else. The short brass cylinder with cutouts was a mystery to me until an image search revealed it to be a "jump ring opener closer" such as B0CWCZVG51 used to prevent the back side of a wire ring from twisting while aligning/separating the ends without needing a second pliers.

Used once on soft metal, dents lefts on the pliers. Very low end quality metal. Return.
